Increment Bed Heating in Cura

In this video I show how you can use Cura to increment the bed heater in order to allow for better heat distribution on the Ender Extender kit with a stock bed heater.

The 2 main problems I ran into with the stock bed heater on the Ender Extender 400xl were:

  • PETG 85C - the thermal run away alarm would trigger and shut the printer down
  • PLA 60C - on larger prints the corners would lift

Both problems were caused by the large heat bed acting as a heat sink and not allowing for proper heating.
